The members of the Finance Council assist the Pastor with the financial aspects of the parish as well as have concern for the buildings and grounds. Like the Pastoral Council, the Finance Council is a consultative body. The primary task of the Finance Council is to review the finances of the parish and school and assist the Pastor with budgeting and fundraising. Members are appointed by the Pastor. The Council meets each month. One member of the Finance Council serves as liaison with the Pastoral Council.
Detailed information on the function and purpose of the Parish Finance Council is found in the Diocese of La Crosse document, “On Consultation in the Parish and Deanery.”
