The Sacrament of Confirmation strengthens the presence of the Holy Spirit you received at Baptism. The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit help us to bear witness to the Christian faith in words and deeds. Formation for the sacrament of Confirmation begins in the ninth-grade Religious Education classes and continues until the fall of the candidate’s junior year of high school. Formation and preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation help lead the candidate toward a more intimate union with Christ and an openness to the Holy Spirit and the action of the Spirit in our life. Here at St. Francis, we strive to awaken the sense of belonging to the universal Catholic Church as well as the parish community. The Sacrament of Confirmation is usually done with the Bishop of the Diocese of La Crosse.
If you are an adult and have not received the sacrament of Confirmation, we encourage you to check out our RCIA program.
